Removing services, splitting your billing, charging more for your product, and springing it all on your customers in a short span of time is probably not the best way to gain friends and influence people. All those business decisions may have looked great for the bottom line in theory. In practice there’s probably a much better way to go about it – especially if you’re in a competitive industry and need to keep your customers happy.
Chapstick Facebook Gaffe
If you’re going to run an ad with potentially controversial imagery and an invitation to “Be Heard” on your Facebook page, you should be prepared to have people talking about it (and in some cases, yelling at you about it) on your social media websites. A plan of action for responding should already be in place, but it shouldn’t include “delete negative comments,” unless the comment contains inappropriate language. Deleting comments alienates people by showing them you don’t want to hear what they have to say.

When you run any advertisement, it’s always crucial to make sure grammar and spelling are correct to maintain your brand integrity. But don’t forget to pay attention to ad placement as well. Advertisers for new zombie-centric TV show “The Walking Dead” purchased billboard space on the side of a funeral parlor, causing an awkward juxtaposition.
