1. Get more bang for your buck. Demand drives media pricing. As companies tighten their marketing budgets, print and broadcast media inventories increase. Companies that continue to spend money on advertising can take advantage of weak demand and bargain for premium placements
or an expanded presence – without increasing their advertising budget.

it comes to marketing. If your competition has cut back on advertising expenditures, fill the void. Your increased visibility will reflect strength and confidence expected from a

3. Retain and grow your market share. According to one McGraw-Hill study, B-to-B companies that maintained or increased its marketing budget during the recession experienced a 275% growth in sales from 1980-1985; companies that decreased spending experienced only a 19% growth in sales over the same time period. Numerous studies of post-World War II economic downturns support similar findings.
